Last weekend I stopped at Target to load up on all the outdoor party essentials. Beverage tubs, packs of La Croix, cheese & crackers, lemonade, a glass pitcher, lemons & limes, a few new chairs for the patio, & last but not least, a giant set of rainbow yard Jenga

At the checkout, the cashier said “Looks like you’re having a fun party this weekend!” They were shocked when I responded “Not quite! It’s actually just staging supplies for our new listing… it’s the Jenga strategy!

I then went on to explain…

The Jenga strategy is one of the most important parts of your home sale … Pretend you have an ah-mazing outdoor space. Instead of leaving the yard as is for showings, we’re going to add some accessories to help paint the picture of how much fun it will be to live there, throw backyard parties, drink margaritas, and play your fave outdoor games – you get the idea! We’re going to show off the lifestyle! So yes, using accessories like giant rainbow Jenga can help sell your house because they are strategically incorporated to sell that LIFESTYLE! After hearing how it sounds when actually said out loud, I had to tell you too!
